Picasa2 Limitations...

Picasa2 is proving to be a good replacement for Adobe Photo Album2. However, I've come across several limitations that are irritating and shouldnt be that hard to fix:

- Limited Folder views: There are three options for viewing the picture folders: Creation Date, Recent Changes, and Name. Because of how I organize my pictures on my harddrive, I'm really only interested in viewing the folders by creation date. However, because Picasa2 uses the creation date from the folder (which may or may not have been created in chronological order) I end up with a messy, non-chronological view.

- No batch EXIF/IPTC data editing: One of the reasons I am ditching Adobe for Picasa is so that my "tagging" (thats what Adobe calls it) of the pictures is stored in IPTC data associated with the file. Adobe has a great tagging feature, but it doesnt transfer with the picture file. Picasa2 has feature to add ITPC keywords and captions, but this has to be done picture by picture. Yes, very time consuming! I scoured the web and found another freebie called Exifer that edits EXIF/IPTC data and do it in batches. Although its not the easiest tool to work with, do remember that its free!

- No way to edit Date Picture Taken EXIF data: I have tons of pics that are missing this vital piece of data. Again Exifer comes through here again.
